Overview
This Track covers WordPress as a product: building pages with the block editor and Site Editor, choosing plugins wisely, and keeping a site accessible, fast, and secure. You build locally first, where it is safe to experiment.
Then you take it live on WeDev Cloud using staging, and hand the site over with a guide its owner can follow. The hosting Track covers domains, email, and backups in depth; here you use them to launch.
This Track is for you if you
- Want to build and manage sites for yourself, an employer, or clients
- Are a marketer, content manager, or small-business owner running a WordPress site
- Plan to continue into theme or plugin development
It is not designed for

Track FAQs: Find Quick Answers
Do I need the hosting Track first?
It is recommended, not required. This Track walks you through the launch steps you need; the hosting Track goes deeper into domains, email, and backups.
Can I build a site for my own business?
Yes, and we encourage it. Your capstone can be your own site, an employer’s, or a fictional business.
Do you teach Elementor or other page builders?
This Track uses WordPress’s own block editor. A short page-builder add-on can be offered separately.
What if I miss a session?
Sessions are recorded and posted on the learning platform, and you can ask questions at office hours.
How much time will I need each week?
About 6–10 hours: one 120-minute live session plus 4–8 hours of self-study.
Will this get me a job?
iVERT does not place graduates or guarantee employment. iVERT is not an accredited college; Programs do not grant degrees or academic credit. However, you will leave with job-relevant skills and a portfolio project to show employers.
