Our Story
iVERT began with a simple initiative of SONET LLC: a three-month free digital literacy program for older adults in Liberia under SONET Academy. The program began with 15 registered older adults, of whom 6 completed, and was followed by a free, nine-month Data Analytics with Excel track, which ran from November 2025 to August 2026 with 38 post-secondary students and early-career professionals from different countries, of whom 15 completed.
In late 2026, John Williams (SONET’s Founder) rebranded the Academy as an independent, affordable, immersive skill bridge and simulation-based learning environment, where diverse people can acquire practical, job-relevant skills and thrive. That change led to the creation of iVERT (Innovation and Vertical Growth).
